Humans of CPS (10/7): Jessica V.

“I think I fell in love with film the first time I went to a movie theater. I remember it was in 2006 and I went to go see Chicken Little–I still have the ticket stub, it’s in my little scrapbook thing. But I think it’s just something about the ability to create an entire visual language to tell a story and how it can express an entire idea or create an entirely different world without using any words at all. I think that’s just something super special… Last summer I did a film camp at Northwestern University with this program called “Cherubs.” I think that my most rewarding experience was getting validation that this is what I am supposed to be doing. I feel like after that experience I can call myself a filmmaker and I actually have the skillset and the ability to spend the rest of my life doing what I love.”
