Seniors of CPS: Anton Michlmayr

Monday, October 27th, 2025 at 11:41 AM. For context, I approached a group of seniors during X-block to see if any of them would like to be interviewed. Anton volunteered, but requested we stay with his group of friends, claiming that they would be quiet. 

Elsa: Okay, I'm gonna start the recording so your friends better be quiet. I'm gonna start the rapid fire questions. 

Anton: Okay.

Elsa: Favorite Trader Joe snack?

Anton: Uhhhh. Uhhhh. Like kombucha. [sarcastically laughs] That's not ridiculous.

Elsa: Freshman physics or Asian worlds?

Anton: Freshman physics.

Elsa: Gym deck or Student Commons?

Anton: Student Commons.

Elsa: Go-to karaoke song?

Anton: I don't know how to sing.

Elsa: Is that it? 

Anton: Can we skip? 

Elsa: Can we come back to it? 

Anton: Mmmm… Maybe.

Elsa: Best way to spend a rainy day?

Anton: Watching TikTok.

Elsa: Okay, okay. Favorite day of the week?

Anton: Saturday.

Elsa: Valid. One item on your bucket list?

Anton: Like a road trip.

Elsa: Okay, so I have some longer response questions. We can talk a little more about these. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?

Anton: [long pause] I like hiking…

Elsa: Really, okay. If you could say thank you to one place on campus, what would it be and why?

Anton: To one place? 

Elsa: Yeah, one place. 

Anton: Thank you to... Oh yeah, the science bathrooms. [friends giggle]

Elsa: How come?

Anton: Because that's where I make all my TikToks.

Elsa: Oh wow! That's so… wholesome. What's one of your favorite CPS memories?

Anton: I really like the potlucks in general.

Elsa: If you could give advice to your freshman yourself, what would it be?

Anton: Probably get better grades.

Elsa: Okay. Do you want to elaborate or...

Anton: No, not really. 

Elsa: Okay. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Anton: On a beach or in the mountains somewhere.

Elsa: Wow! Thank you so much. That was my last question. Okay, thank you so much for doing an interview, that was really funny.
