Interview conducted by Jessie H.

It’s a nice afternoon on October 22nd, 2025. Daphne and I share a bench in the courtyard…It’s 3:24 PM, and the interview begins.
Jessie: Hey Daphne, welcome to your Seniors of CPS interview!
Daphne: Hi Jessie!
Jessie: Okay, so first we’re going to start with some rapid-fire questions…Favorite Trader Joe’s snack?
Daphne: Um…Triple ginger snap cookies, the bucket ones.
Jessie: I see a lot of those at our [tennis] games.
Daphne & Jessie (in unison): Yes! They’re really good!
Jessie: Alright, go-to karaoke song?
Daphne: Umm, that one Rihanna song, Dancing in the Dark, yes.
Jessie: YES that’s a good one.
Daphne: The one we sing in the tennis van!
Jessie: Yeah! laughs okay…One item on your bucket list?
Daphne: Ooo um…Senior trip with my friends next summer.
Jessie: Oh that’s fun!
Daphne: We’re hoping to make it to France and Croatia.
Jessie: Oooo that’s good, yeah. Freshman physics or asian worlds?
Daphne: Asian worlds.
Jessie: That was really fast.
Daphne: Yeah definitely asian worlds
Jessie: Okay, so now we’re going to transition to some longer response questions. First, what’s one of your favorite CPS memories?
Daphne: Umm, okay, well it wasn’t on CPS campus but with CPS, the Kauai intraterm last year–or yeah, this last school year. I was with like four of my best friends, and we had no phones, so we were just like talking all the time and hanging out in Kauai
Jessie: That sounds great, unplugged!
Daphne: Unplugged!
Jessie: Amazing, okay! Where do you see yourself in five years?
Daphne: In five years…Wait, wait lemme calculate that laughs. I hope that I’m doing a Master's in Public Health, and maybe like abroad somewhere, maybe getting like experience in like humanitarian aid in other countries…that’s my goal! So…
Jessie: Wow, it sounds like you’ve got a pretty good plan!
Daphne: So yeah!
Jessie: And then…if you could give advice to your freshman self, what would it be?
Daphne: Oh appreciate how much time I had in freshman year, cuz I had so much time, and I wish I had taken advantage of it laughing
Jessie: Yeah, yeah, a little more stressed out now, in senior year?
Daphne: Yes, a little more now, but-
Jessie: Of course
Daphne: Yeah.
Jessie: What is something not a lot of people know about you?
Daphne: Oh, I don’t remember seeing this on the questions you sent me!!
Jessie: Hahaha! It could be like something random, quirky, cool, you know…
Daphne: Uhhhh…Oh! I recently started keeping a junk journal because I’m a very nostalgic person–I think a lot of people know that–but specifically a junk journal with all the little things.
Jessie: So as in you write in the journal or…
Daphne: No, it’s like when you take your coffee, where you take the sticker off of it and sticking it–
Jessie: Oh!
Daphne: –or like a napkin from a restaurant with a logo, and it’s like all your memories from all the random places
Jessie: I know you’re a big fan of the mems…
Daphne: I am! Yeah!! laughs
Jessie: Okay, I think that’s all the questions we have. Thank you so much!
Daphne: Yay, thanks Jessie!
