Emnet: Okay, so we're going to start off with some rapid-fire questions, but what's your favorite Trader Joe's snack?
Levi: The mini ice cream sandwiches.
Emnet: I actually really like those too. Okay, freshman physics or Asian Worlds?
Levi: Asian Worlds.
Emnet: Any reason why?
Levi: I was terrible at physics. That's about it.
Emnet: That's real. Gym deck or Student Commons?
Levi: Student Commons, but I don't like that it's kind of exclusively juniors and seniors. I wish it were more inclusive.
Emnet: Yeah. What is your favorite article of clothing?
Levi: That's kind of a hard question. Can you be more specific?
Emnet: Like, do you like hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, jeans?
Levi: Oh! I thought you meant, like, an article of my clothing. T-shirts, I don't know. There's a lot of different kinds of t-shirts. I don't think that's the most interesting answer.
Emnet: Okay! Next one, is a hot dog a sandwich?
Levi: No, because it's just not. A sandwich is two separate pieces of bread, and a hot dog is one connected piece. So, no, it’s not a sandwich.
Emnet: Okay! Second to last one, what is one thing you regret spending money on?
Levi: Jeans at a flea market that instantly ripped.
Emnet: Oh, yeah, that's a legitimate one. What superpower would you have if you were a superhero?
Levi: Being able to teleport. Because who wouldn't want to teleport?
Emnet: That's a really cool one. Where would you want to teleport to first?
Levi: Okay, I've thought about this. I'd want three places to teleport to. Hawaii, number one, because who doesn't love Hawaii? Two, Central Europe, somewhere in the middle, where I could just take trains everywhere. And three is Japan because I feel Japan is cool.
Emnet: Cool, but why would you take trains if you could teleport?
Levi: Oh yeah! In my world, I was only teleporting to three places. Can I teleport everywhere?
Emnet: Well, I thought that's your superpower.
Levi: Yeah, that's a good point.
Emnet: But that's still a good answer. Moving on to some longer response questions. What is something not a lot of people know about you?
Levi: I like to garden.
Emnet: Oh, really?
Levi: I'm not as good a gardener as I used to be, but I like to garden. I've been given birthday gifts, like plants and trees. I got an avocado plant as a birthday gift.
Emnet: What's your favorite thing in your garden?
Levi: Historically, potatoes. Because, you know, you plant one, you get like 30 potatoes. Effort versus reward is pretty good.
Emnet: Cool! If you could say thank you to one place on campus, what would it be?
Levi: James' room, the Learning Center, because that's blessed me from time to time again. Basically, throughout my four years, I've been there consistently, and he's saved me from some pretty bad math and science holes.
Emnet: Yes, James is a lifesaver for me. Okay, what's one of your favorite CPS memories?
Levi: That's a hard question. I think running dances has been really fun. I've enjoyed doing that. Just because you kind of get to see behind the curtain a little bit. Going to dances is great, and then running the dance and seeing people enjoy themselves really adds a new layer of fun to it.
Emnet: Which dance to run was your favorite?
Levi: I would say Black and White.
Emnet: Cool! If you could give advice to your freshman self, what would it be?
Levi: Ask for help. People need it. Even if you're embarrassed to ask for it, you need it.
Emnet: I think that's a very good one. Okay, last, long response question. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Levi: Okay, so in five years, I will have graduated from college, hopefully, unless something goes wrong. I want to take a year off if I go to grad school, before grad school. So, I'd want to be traveling somewhere in Europe. I'd want to hit all those places that I said in my magical instant transportation.
Emnet: That's a really good one. I want to go to Europe too. Okay, those are all the questions we have. Actually, one more. Do you have a photo of yourself from freshman year and a little story to go along with it?
Levi: Okay. Wait, so freshman year, that was 2022. Okay, here. So, I realized that you could climb up, and then go on top of the blue thing (referring to the basketball hoop - image below) and then go around on that pole and flip around, and you could just hang on the hoop and look like you were dunking. That's what I posed for my photography class.
Emnet: That's a really good photo! Okay, thank you so much, that’s all the questions I have.
