Description from Patrick (lightly edited): "Mountains" is a piece that represents how things get better even when they seem grim. It depicts a set of mountains that seems to have a lot of detail, but all you see is darkness --the shadowed side --in front of a bright yellow backdrop. However, your side of the mountain will eventually be lit by the sun. Like a cycle in which sometimes you are happy, and sometimes you are sad, you only have to wait until the sun shines on you because it will not be dark forever.
