Hey CPS! Happy Valentine’s Day! To celebrate I made this playlist full of songs to get you in the Valentine’s Day spirit. These songs will be perfect to listen to with someone you love or to distract from your loneliness. Here are a few of my highlights from the playlist. Enjoy!
Juke Jam (ft. Justin Bieber and Towkio) – Chance the Rapper
Chance the Rapper has a song for almost every mood, and “Juke Jam” is one of my favorites for just chilling out. Justin Bieber has some surprisingly good vocals on the chorus which really tie the track together.
Slow Dancing in the Dark – Joji
I’ve been following Joji for a while but “Slow Dancing in the Dark” is easily his best song yet. Joji’s powerful vocals and delivery help flesh out the song’s dark but also romantic feel.
L$D – A$AP Rocky
I’ve been listening to A$AP Rocky since middle school, and this song still stands out as one of his best. His use of vocal effects really complement the instrumental and make for a really beautiful song.
Get You (ft. Kali Uchis) – Daniel Caesar
Daniel Caesar has been one of my favorite artists for a while, and it’s pretty much required to have him on any Valentine’s Day playlist. “Get You” is one of my favorite tracks from his latest album, and Daniel’s smooth vocals create a really nice vibe.
Cozy – Peter Kuli and Still Haze
Here’s one of the more unknown songs on the playlist, written by one of my close friends Peter Kuli. This song is great for relaxing, and Still Haze’s vocals give the track a really nice upbeat feel.
Somebody to Love – Queen
I wanted to throw an older song onto the playlist, and Queen is one of my favorite bands of all time. This song is a classic and fits the Valentine’s Day vibe really nicely.
