Love is certainly a wonderful thing
One can love their family to their friends
This kind of love does not require a ring
But what kind of love does true love transcend?
First we must understand, what is true love?
To me, true love is a girl with brown eyes
Short, shining black hair, a smile that I loved
For me, seeing her was my favorite prize
But as a child, I thought did she love me?
Taking a risk, I needed to find out
So I wrote a note, and the truth was free
Despite rejection, I still had no doubt
As a child I was obsessed with love
And that obsession will live on above
