Hi everybody,
We’re Ana, Aaron, Maya, and Sam, and we’re so excited to kick off the 2018-2019 school year as your Radar editors!
As the campus and schedule continue to change, we hope the Radar can evolve with the rapidly progressing lives of College Prep students. The Radar is not only representative of our community writ large, but also of each individual voice, culture, and opinion. This year, we hope you all can join us as we redefine the Radar to be a more inclusive and relevant space for students, teachers, and families！
This year, our main goal is to increase our role at CPS writ large. From reporting on CPS events to sharing the stories of our community, we want to do more. In specific, we are hoping to bring in more writers, athletes, and artists to write columns, share their masterpieces, and tell the tales of their games and tournaments. Some of the newest additions we are most excited for include the art section and weekly sports updates!
Radar in particular will be looking to rebuild our public image at CPS. We’ll be looking for participation at all grade levels in the form of grade representatives, to notify their grade levels of articles and Radar events, and section editors. In addition, we are in the process of creating a new Radar unique Instagram to boost our social media presence.
