Elsa: Okay, let me pull up the questions. I’m going to start with some rapid-fire questions, so you can answer these pretty quickly. Favorite Trader Joe’s snack?
Abidan: The peanut butter cups.
Elsa: Freshman Physics or Asian Worlds?
Abidan: Asian Worlds.
Elsa: Gym Deck or Student Commons?
Abidan: Student Commons.
Elsa: Really? Go-to karaoke song?
Abidan: Love by Keyshia Cole.
Elsa: Best way to spend a rainy day?
Abidan: In my bed watching movies.
Elsa: Favorite day of the week?
Abidan: Friday.
Elsa: One item on your bucket list?
Abidan: Go to Europe with my friends.
Elsa: Nice. Now I have some longer response questions, so you can talk a little more about these. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
Abidan: Uhhh.
Elsa: This is the hardest one, I think.
Abidan: I don't know. Maybe that I have three sisters?
Elsa: Wow, that’s a lot! Alright, if you could say thank you to one place on campus, what would it be and why?
Abidan: I’d probably say the quiet room, because I’ve done a lot of grinding in there over the past couple of years.
Elsa: What’s one of your favorite CPS memories?
Abidan: It would definitely be one of the retreats… It would probably be sophomore retreat.
Elsa: I heard that one was really bad, though!
Abidan: Yeah, it was really cold, but that just made it a really good bonding moment with my friends.
Elsa: Ohh. Like trauma bonding?
Abidan: Yeah, this sounds kind of messed up, but it was kinda fun to see everyone just freezing. So it was just funny and nice.
Elsa: I get that. All right, if you could give advice to your freshman-year self, what would it be and why?
Abidan: I would probably tell myself to just focus more on myself and not to let too much outside noise get to me, or like, don't let other people influence my decisions or what I want to do.
Elsa: That’s nice. All right, last question: where do you see yourself in five years?
Abidan: In five years? After graduating college, maybe I’ll be getting my Master’s, or maybe I'll have a nice job. Hopefully I’ll come back to the Bay Area and have a steady job.
Elsa: So you want to come back to the Bay?
Abidan: Yeah.
Elsa: All right, that’s my last question. Thank you so much!
