Elsa: I’m going to start with some rapid-fire questions, so you can answer these pretty quickly. Favorite article of clothing?
Deirdre: A tank top.
Elsa: What’s the best Halloween candy?
Deirdre: Almond Joy.
Elsa: Really? Is a hot dog a sandwich?
Deirdre: Yeah.
Elsa: How tall are you?
Deirdre: 5'7" or 5'6" and a half.
Elsa: What is one thing you regret spending money on?
Deirdre: Freaking palm Açaí Bowl yesterday. That stuff sucked.
Elsa: What Disney character would you be?
Deirdre: I'd be Rapunzel.
Elsa: Rapunzel, nice. Can you freestyle rap?
Deirdre: Absolutely not.
Elsa: Darn. What super power would you have?
Deirdre: I would have teleportation. It would be the most useful.
Elsa: Favorite shape of pasta?
Deirdre: Angel hair.
Elsa: Nice. Okay, I have some longer response questions for you, so you can talk more about these. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
Deirdre: Hmm, I don’t know. A lot of people don't know that I have two cats, and I love them very much.
Elsa: Wow, okay. If you could say thank you to one place on campus, where would it be?
Deirdre: I would say thank you to the little place outside the auditorium, because that's where I eat lunch, and I really like it there.
Elsa: Nice. What’s one of your favorite CPS memories?
Deirdre: [BIG, dramatic sign] There are not a lot of them.
Elsa: Oh?
Deirdre: Sorry. Uhmm, I really liked… Oh, this is hard. There was one day during an assembly when we played musical chairs. I played in it and I almost won, so that was fun.
Elsa: Wow. If you could give advice to your freshman self, what would it be?
Deirdre: Oh my god, freaking calm down. I was so overly geeked in my freshman year. Just take a chill pill; you don't have to do everything.
Elsa: Okay [laughs]. And last question: where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Deirdre: Hopefully in med school. If not, at least having a job—that would be nice.
Elsa: Alright, that was my last question. Is there anything else you want to say to the community or to RADAR?
Deirdre: Good job community, like you have it! Senior year will be the best year of your life, and the Heart of the Bay is the best place in the Bay!
Elsa: Thank you for the interview!
Deirdre: No problem!
